Annapurna, attracts the largest number of trekkers in Nepal. Here you will find everything the Himalayas have to offer, accessible along a selection of well-maintained trails that snake in and around the 55-kilometre Annapurna massif, separated from the gargantuan Dhaulagiri (8167m) by the Kaligandaki, the deepest gorge in the world.
Rara is a largest lake in Nepal, ensconced within its smallest national park, is only three hours walk from an Talcha Airport. It’s a beautiful, calm haven surrounded by forests, and a paradise for bird watchers.
Mugu was once part of the Malla or Khas kingdom of the Karnali River basin, which reigned between the 12th and 14th centuries. Artefacts abound – you may see ancient shrines to the local deity ‘Masta’, wooden effigies of spirits festooned with bells, flowers and cloth, and rock pillarsetched with figures of the sun and the moon. Southern Mugu has rugged ranges forested with ancient blue pine, spruce and cedar, and is inhabited by Hindu Chhetris, Brahmins and Thakuris.
This region is close from Kathmandu and Pokhara, the Ganesh Himal Region has remained a well – kept secret too all but Nepals most avid trekkers. The area is between the Langtang Nationla park and Mansalu Conservationn Area Project.
Wildflowers flourish, and waterfalls embellish the lush hill scenery in a land blessed with wideranging geographical, Cultural and biological diversity. Sensational viewpoints feature the sublime Himalaya to the north. Most prominent is the Ganesh Himal Range. The Ganesh Himal is named in honor of Hindu deity Ganesh, son of Lord Shiva and Parvati. Selected viewpoints in the area offer immense panoramas.
Most rewarding are the cultural attractions including magnificent Ganga Jamuna(twin) Waterfalls, Kalo ,Seto and Ganesh Kunda(pound), hot spring and Tripurasundari temples and the People that inhabit the region.
“DHALAGIRI” means “ white mountain” Around Dhaulagiri trekking is a long and Challenging trekking in the region of Mt. Dhaulagri(8167m.) the seventh highest peak, located north-west of Pokhara in the western Nepal and south of the tibet. The trekking starts from Beni on the Kali Gandaki River.Follow the Myagdi Khola westwards to Darbang and turn north on a tiny trail through forests into the high country. Much of the route is on snow and glaciers and to avalanches as it crosses French Col(5240m),traverses the head of Hidden Valley and crosses 5155m Dhampus pass.
